A juried exhibit of plant portraits
The New England Society of Botanical Artists is pleased to announce its juried exhibition of native New England plant portraits which is now travelling to venues throughout New England into the fall of 2014. From the Mountains to the Sea: Plants, Trees, and Shrubs of New England is designed to promote public appreciation of the art and science of botanical art and illustration and to celebrate the diversity and beauty of plants from our own backyards.
NESBA also provides gallery talks and artist demonstrations and lectures on the history of botanical art throughout the world, and in colonial America during the Age of Discovery. See venue websites for more information on talks and demos.
In addition, each venue features, "In Addition," a supplementary body of work by local artists portraying plants from any habitat throughout the world.
For more information about the art and artists, visit our website at asba-art.org/member-gallery.
